So, what's your favorite feature of WebCoder, if you have one?

Mine is actually 2 functions, but since they work so well together, I think it's allowed :P. I'm talking about project management and FTP access. I simply love the way this works in WebCoder (and since I designed most of it just the way _I_ wanted it, I guess that's not a big surprise), and the way it works with eachother :). It's great for when I'm working for hours on a project, or for when I just need to edit a simple page and upload the changes. I especially like how WebCoder always knows where to upload my files, when I have them organized in a project. This means that I can open a project, edit a file from ANY of the projects sub directories and just use the Ctrl+Alt+Enter to upload the changes - WebCoder will go to the correct directory and upload the file! Dammit, this is starting to sound more and more like a commercial, but you gotta love your own software, or at least the best parts of it! ;)

What do you like the most about WebCoder? It could be a main feature, or it could be a small detail. Let us know! :)

Damn, that is hard.....
Must say Projects is one of my favorites too and FTP well I haven't used it 'till WebCoder 5 but I begin starting to like it.
One thing I really use a lot is the preview function. It is great to both see IE and Mozilla at once.
And then the auto proposal has been a lot of help in the past, when I was learning my way through HTML.
And of course the validate function...

I think I should stop now, or people could just read the feature list as well ;)

Okay, people do seem to like the FTP. I better not leave that one out of next version ;)

For me, the best feature is more overall.
The price, support and the open discussions about this and future versions of webcoder.

If people have new ideas, and can make a reasonable reason for Kaspar to implement it, he'll do it.

You can properbly find development tools with more features and better support for asp, php or whatever language you use, but neither of them, you have the opportunity to get a saying of what is good and bad about the program - And get listened too. And all the others have a pricetag of a small house...

So, what's your favorite feature of WebCoder, if you have one?

The FTP client is certainly really nice. I have to say that I like the broad language support in the syntax coloring. Maybe add PERL in there on future release?

I like that it finishes my sentences when typing PHP globals and various redundant PHP code. I like the old preview tab in WC5 and can't seem to figure out how to switch WC2007 to the old style... although it's supposed to be possible after installation. The tab was really fast, much faster than viewing in a seperate window.

recommended additions:
1. Color scheme generator.
2. Support for Perl
3. A method for templating webpages that would allow users to upload a template file of some sort, and make a library of them. Like I might surf webcoderusers.net for a project file that has a template I like. This is what the more expensive softwares have available. This could be powerful combined with a functioning quickedit feature. They have templates for Dreamweaver, why not for webcoder?
4. Javascript generators that use dialog boxes to generate javascript for common JS usages. Like image switching and dropdown menus.
5. same as number 4 but for DHTML
